This Privacy Policy explains how Bloom ("Bloom", "we", "us") collects, uses, and protects information when you use the Bloom app and this website (together, the "Service"). By using Bloom, you agree to the practices described here.
Information we collect
We collect the information needed to run a booking marketplace between clients and beauty artists/salons:
- Account information: name, email address, and (optionally) phone number, provided when you sign up or sign in with Apple/Google.
- Profile content: profile photo, portfolio photos, service listings, and reviews you choose to post.
- Booking information: appointments, services selected, and scheduling details needed to connect clients with artists.
- Messages: messages you send through Bloom's in-app chat between clients and artists.
- Location: approximate location, if you enable it, to show nearby salons and artists.
- Device & usage data: basic device information and push notification tokens, used to deliver appointment reminders and updates.
We do not collect payment card numbers directly — payments, where enabled, are processed by a third-party payment processor that has its own privacy practices.
How we use information
- To create and manage your account.
- To connect clients with artists and salons, and to facilitate bookings.
- To send appointment confirmations, reminders, and status updates (e.g. an artist running behind schedule).
- To operate loyalty rewards and raffles you choose to participate in.
- To show relevant content in the Inspo feed and Discover tab.
- To maintain the security and integrity of the Service.
How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as follows:
- Between clients and artists: booking a service shares the information needed to complete that booking (e.g. your name and appointment details are visible to the artist you booked with).
- Service providers: we use trusted infrastructure providers (such as our database and authentication provider, and push notification services) to operate the Service. These providers process data on our behalf and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.
- Legal reasons: if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Bloom, our users, or the public.
Your choices & rights
- You can review and update your profile information at any time in the app.
- You can request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us at the email below.
- You can disable push notifications and location access from your device settings.
Data security
We use industry-standard safeguards to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and database access controls that restrict who can read or write your data. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information appropriately.
Children's privacy
Bloom is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We'll update the "Last updated" date above when we do.
